1. DasBlogWebSetup 1.6.4121.1 Website Setup - an MSI that installs and configures IIS.
2. DasBlogWebSetup 1.6.4121.1 Website Files - an MSI that just installs the web binaries and content.
3. DasBlog 1.6.4121.1 Website Files - a ZIP Archive of the web binaries and content.
4. DasBlog 1.6.4121.1 Upgrade Files - a ZIP Archive of the web binaries and content for upgrading.
5. DasBlogSource 1.6.4121.1 Source Code ZIP Archive - a ZIP Archive of the source code.
Upgrading from 1.5.
1. Download the DasBlog 1.6.4121.0 Upgrade Files. This download only contains the changed files from the most recent upgrade. If you like you can also download DasBlog 1.6.4121.0 Website Files which contains all the necessary files.
2. On your web server do the following
a. Backup your content, logs, SiteConfig folders. THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!
3. If you have made any changes to the default dasBlog themes then remove that corresponding theme from the themes folder in DasBlogWebSetup 1.6.4121.0 Upgrade Files
4. Open the SiteConfig folder and copy the contents to the SiteConfig folder on your server.
5. If you have made any changes to the Web.config file transfer them to the new Web.Config file. There is a new url rewriting RegEx that fixes problems with sub categories. Then copy the new Web.Config file to your server.
6. Copy the rest of the files to the server.
New Installation
You have three choices for a new install. If you are setting up DasBlog on a local server box then run the DasBlogWebSetup 1.6.4121.0 Website Setup MSI.
If you are going to deploy to a remote server then download the DasBlogWebSetup 1.6.4121.0 Website Files and run the enclosed MSI or downlod the DasBlog 1.6.4121.0 Website Files and Copy the contents to the IIS ROOT or ASP.NET Application Directory.
For the two options above you must do the following:
1. Ensure that the DasBlog files are deployed in the virtual root of the IIS server or in an ASP.NET Application Directory.
2. If you are running IIS 5 You must give the ASPNET process read/write access to content, logs, and SiteConfig.
If you are running IIS 6 you must give NETWORKSERVICE the same permissions as ASPNET.
